MAR
When you were a teenager, you loved riding motorbikes which makes you feel one with the road. Even though the Aprilia RX 125 doesn’t have a lot of power, they still make every journey feel quick and exciting. Wind blowing through your hair, while you max out the speedometer of the motorbike is the dream of every teenager. It looks like Aprilia is trying to make you feel nostalgic with the RX 125, a bike which allows you to have loads of fun without having to pay a hefty price. Let’s take a closer look at the Aprilia RX 125 to see what it has to offer to the new-age riders.

Aprilia RX 125 Specifications

One look at the Aprilia RX 125 and you get the feeling that you will spend more time off-road, than you will on tarmac. The Italian motorbike manufacturer installed non-adjustable upside down forks and monoshock with adjustable preload suspension in the front and rear. When you ride the Aprilia, the suspension feels a bit soft, which you will feel when you try to bring the machine to a halt. Speaking about brakes, Aprilia fitted a single disc, with two-pot callipers in the front and rear. You only get ABS in the front brakes, which makes a lot of sense, as it gives you greater control when you go off-road. The brakes have a lot of bite, which is a great thing, as you can always bring the motorbike to a quick halt at any speed. Moving on to the seat of the RX 125, it is one area which leaves a lot to be desired. The seat is quite hard, making it uncomfortable if you decide to go on a long journey. Even though there is no windshield, you won’t go fast enough to find wind annoying or distracting. From the electronics perspective, it comes with a small dash, which displays odometer, trip, voltage, clock, service, engine temperature, and speed. When it comes to handling, you won’t find it difficult to lean into corners. Despite the light weight of the motorbike, it is quite stable, even at high speeds.

Aprilia RX 125 Performance

The RX 125 comes with liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. It produces 15 hp of power at 10,700 rpm and 8.3 ft-lb of torque at 8,000 rpm. You won’t feel the vibrations from the engine, allowing you to enjoy the ride. When it comes to acceleration, the RX 125 is quick off the line. Never assume this bike won’t get the job done when you have to cover vast distances. Despite the 7.5-litre fuel tank, you can cross at least 150 miles, without facing any difficulties.

Verdict

The Aprilia RX 125 is a great motorbike, if you want to venture into the world of two-wheels, without having to shell out large sums of money. When you ride this machine, you will always have a smile on your face, as the ride feels excellent. You can pick up the Aprilia RX 125 from a dealership near your house at a base price of £3,399
