The world got to see the first edition of the Suzuki Burgman in 1998. It was a revolutionary scooter, which combined comfort and performance into a single and complete package. For the year 2017, the Japanese manufacturers decided to take the scooter to a whole new level. Will the new revisions be enough to make the Suzuki Burgman 400 one of the best in the 400cc category of scooters? Let’s take a look!

Suzuki Burgman 400 Specifications

First up, you will notice that the Suzuki Burgman has a slimmer profile, unlike its previous counterparts because the Japanese manufacturer wanted the scooter to look like an elegant performer. They also managed to shave seven kilograms off the scooter, giving it an overall weight of 215kg.

In the front suspension of the scooter, you will find non-adjustable 41mm forks. At the rear, the scooter has rising-rate monoshock, which has seven-way adjustable to meet your specific requirements. Overall, the ride is comfortable on the scooter as it can absorb the majority of the bumps on the road.

The scooter’s front brakes are dual discs with twin-piston callipers while the rear is a single disc with single-piston callipers. Coupled with the ABS, the stopping power of the scooter is adequate to bring it to a quick halt.

The scooter is spacious as you get 42-litres worth of storage under the seat, giving you enough room to store your helmet and other items without any problems. The storage compartment on the right has 3.5-litres of space while the one of the left as 2.8-litres.

The dashboard on the scooter is a combination of LCD and analogues. The analogue on the left indicated your current speed while the one of the right displays the revs. The LCD shows remaining fuel, time, and the efficiency of the scooter.
