Honda Gold Wing

The Gold wing is a legendary touring motorbike in is 40 year production more than 640,000 units have been made of the 900lb luxury monster. It has more gadgets than a lot of modern cars and really wipes the floor with competing tourers.  Through 40 years of production the various models continuously updated technology and engine/ride improvements have kept the Gold Wing as number 1 in the touring business.

Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra

The CVO Glide Ultra is another tourer with comfort at mind, when the Road Glide re-emerged in 2015 with a whole host of new gadgets including new LED head lamps, upgraded sound system, new seating and One Touch access to the saddle bags this still wasn’t enough.  Then came the CVO and it just kept piling on the features with upgraded wind shielding, Jet Stream Air deflectors and many more, in terms of the engine CVO was given a top of the line Twin Cooled Twin Cam 110 engine pumping out 3,750 rpm. It is basically a very nice all-round bike capable of eating up miles and miles in complete comfort.

Yamaha FJR1300

This frequently overlooked bike is a great machine! It’s refined, fun and fast it handles well and allows for smooth comfy ride.  Although it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of other bikes on this list the ride quality is excellent with improved suspension which gives this tourer a sportier agile feel. You could go as far and calling the FJR1300 is more of a comfy sports bike with its superbike speed engine sand excellent traction control by switching between touring and sports mode you can get the best of both worlds.

SuzukiGSX1300R Hayabusa

The only sports tourer on the list the GSX1300R Hayabusa has a real beast hidden behind a stylish aesthetic and is probably one of the most powerful bikes on the market were talking 194 bhp, 115ftlb of torque and top speed of 186mph.   This newer incarnation of the Hayabusa  isn’t all too different from the previous model we still have the same wheel base, rake and trail with only a few upgrades to the bike in the forks and a stronger swing arm. If you are looking for practical yet stylish bike you can sling around a track and take for a road trip the GSX1300R Hayabusa might be for you!

Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS

The Vulcan 1700 is a top of the range tourer with all the features and add-ons you could possibly need in for a long trip anywhere with plenty of storage space so you can eat up the miles for days on end.  With a powerful liquid-cooled 1700cc V-Twin engine bringing us 108 ftlb of toque at 2750 rpm, electronic cruise control and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive Breaking this bike is all you really need in a tourer. One of the most notable features that make the tourer so practical is the ergonomics of the bike cushy seats with enough room for two peo0ple to sit comfortably for the entire ride and dash board that is practical and classic in design.
